CHAY is one of the fastest-growing B2B2C technology companies in Asia. The founders initially reached out for executive coaching for the CEO and COO/CFO. What began as a coaching engagement evolved into a multi-year, board-level partnership spanning executive development, performance management, and governance as the company scaled from $25M to $150M in revenue and raised a significant venture capital round.

Actions

  • Started with a holistic executive coaching program for the CEO and COO/CFO, focused on managing their working relationship, personal performance, project prioritization, execution, and reflection
  • Expanded the coaching program to include the group CMO and Head of Paid Advertising, as well as the CTO, COO, and Assistant General Manager of the largest subsidiary company
  • Developed and implemented key performance indicators, initially for 2 markets and eventually expanding to 9 as the business grew
  • Introduced a board governance framework with monthly board meetings covering CEO guidance, P&L review, and department updates across the group and its subsidiaries
  • Tightened financial risk management and strategic control over a rapidly scaling organization
